Business need

Our client is a sizeable pan-Africa bank that wanted to ensure they can manage the culture and engagement levels in the organisation by understanding the current drivers of employee engagement. They reached out to APAG to conduct a group-wide survey across more than thirty countries and three languages.

Solution

  • We supported the client with designing an employee survey based on a framework of looking at employee engagement and employee experience.
  • Our team set up an appropriate structure to gather data from the client.
  • Together with our technology partner, we built a survey platform that could accommodate all the client’s needs.
  • After testing the platform, the survey went live, and we provided a mechanism to track responses daily.
  • We developed an overall group report, including benchmark data across Africa.
  • The project closed with various presentations of results to key audiences.

  • The client was able to develop a robust set of plans to address issues related to employee engagement.
  • During the second cycle of the survey, it was clear that action plans from the previous cycle impacted the results.
  • In the second year, we supported the client to build an action tracker that enabled them to have a clear view of actions across the bank.
