Shaping the Future with Our Third Annual New Ways of Working in Africa Study, Focusing on Employee Experience
We are thrilled to announce that we are launching our Employee Experience (EX) study across the continent. This year, we’re shifting our focus to a key trend in new ways of working across Africa – the Employee Experience. We believe in the significance of each employee’s voice and the voices of the organisations experimenting with EX, understanding that it brings unique perspectives and contributes to creating an innovative, enriching environment.
The concept of the Employee Experience has been garnering substantial attention globally, and it is something we are eager to delve into deeper. By focusing on the Employee Experience within Africa-based organisations, we aim to uncover the factors that contribute to a thriving workforce and create a culture that promotes continuous improvement, inclusivity, and shared ownership.
The research will touch on essential elements of the Employee Experience, including:
• Leadership
• Enablement
• Culture
• Onboarding
• Development
• Reward
• Employee Wellness
• Engagement
• Performance Management
• DEI
• Data & Metrics and Technology
This year, we will be issuing our survey to focus on the ‘organisation perspective’, as we have done in previous years. What is new for this year is that we will be issuing an additional survey instrument, focussing on the employee perspective in EX. Our decision to roll out two survey instruments stems from our unwavering belief in the African spirit – the spirit of resilience, creativity, and unity. We are confident that this spirit will guide our journey towards fostering an engaging and satisfying work environment, echoing the vibrant and diverse cultures of Africa.
We invite you to participate in our research to gain insights into how companies in Africa are enhancing the Employee Experience. Your feedback will help our organisations adapt to the evolving needs of the workforce. This is an opportunity for you to highlight what truly matters to you, shaping not just your individual career trajectory, but also influencing your broader organisational culture and practices.
The employee survey is confidential and anonymous. Your honesty and openness are crucial to us, and we guarantee that your responses will be treated with utmost respect. For the organisation survey, we may ask you to indicate your company name and a few other biographic details.
In the coming weeks, you’ll receive separate emails with a link to complete the employee survey and a link to complete the organisation survey. Your feedback will have a lasting impact, and we sincerely encourage you to participate. Every voice counts, and your involvement is instrumental in helping us build EX on the continent.
Let’s seize this opportunity to create a work culture that resonates with the dynamic spirit of Africa – vibrant, diverse, and resilient. We’re excited to delve into your valuable insights and forge a path towards a truly inclusive, inspiring, and empowering workplaces.
Thank you in advance for your participation and your commitment to shaping the future of work in Africa!
Warm regards,
APAG
